When I drew the OWLS, I said that I would not do more of the "3D" series but the truth is that I love the vibes of these drawings and I love making them.

However, on this occasion, a series of causalities played a trick on me in the end:
- First of all, the red lead was not the same one I had used until now because I run out of it and I have not found the same again. In fact, this new lead is not red but pink - something that did not make me happy at all.
- Second, it was not 0.5 but 0.7 - something that did not worry me too much and
- Third, it wasn't Pentel either but Pilot - something I thought was good at first.

I started the drawing with the great fear that it would look very pink and luckily, I was quite satisfied with the final tonality. Also, the lead was smooth and covered quite well. However, and here comes the definitive causality, the fixing spray was not the Talens one that I have used to date but a new one from Conté à Paris. OMG! Immediately the pink part became phosphorite, thus turning my hippo into a radioactive being that stood out above the rest.

The blue lead was the same as in previous drawings

Given what happened, I did not hesitate to search Amazon for an alternative for my next drawing and I chose some 0.5 Staedtler leads that I bought in red, green and blue.

Fingers crossed.
