If I get lost in a forest I am delighted; If you let me go on a beach I am happy; and if I run into any animal I get dumbfounded ...
I am María, a Spaniard from Madrid eager to create and experiment. Owl & Moon is the meeting point between my creations and everything behind them (techniques, tools, ideas that inspire me...)
I love photography and interior design. I am particularly attracted to Nordic decoration because simple lines, light or pastel colors and nature-based creations are a constant source of inspiration in my work. But above all, my passion for animals is what shapes my creations. In addition to my two cats and my dog, my house is invaded by decorative animals in all their forms and colors.
This picture could be titled "Stop drawing!" because without a doubt, that is what Mia claims with her gaze. She is 2 years old and does not separate from me ... all in order until she decides to invade my workspace to gain my attention.
My first drawing was a charcoal elephant and I continued with monochromatic drawings based on sepias. However, when a few years later I discovered pastels, they became my favorite option and the one I use the most.
As you can see in the following photo, all this information is what my other cat, Jenny gets when she snoops the material that I will use in my next drawing. Jenny is only one year old and prefers to accompany my 13-year-old son, who by the way, is responsible for having both cats entered at home.
In short, behind Owl & Moon there is work, desire, two cats to inspire me and a teenager to deal with.
